moment of clarity,

sidenote;
i've done this before &
it's best to learn from mistakes you've made & work on them.

now,

i wonder why ppl settle.
i mean,
i know there are many determining factors invovled,
but in the end,
why do it in the first place?

& why have yourself go through all the stress, strain, physical,
emotional & most importantly financial baggage when you know it's
not going to work out in the first place?

i guess just having someone to HAVE someone works for some people.
me personally,
i would rather have a tight-knit group of friends that
1) i can depend on
2) i can tell anything
&
3) will NEVER judge me for what i do

boy is THAT hard to find.
i have two right now, & thank god for them.

okay, next - & i guess this goes with my first diatribe,
why are ppl so eager to rush into relationships?
i think the "boyfriend / girlfriend" status is SUPER important,
& shouldn't be thrown around like a nametag and / or clothing tag.

like,
"i'm wearing armani - you have old navy -
look at your hand me downs"

ie:
"i had him / her first, when they were popular, fresh & new,
you just have my sloppy seconds, bitch"

& i guess you can relate this to the first thing i said,
i'd much rather be friends first then rush into a relationship,
have it NOT work out - then possibly lose a good friend.

it's just not worth it.
